Meet the team
Screen blaggers is a team of three siblings, each with a shared passion for writing, movies and well… blagging.
What is “blagging”?
The term blag comes from a play on words that contextualizes the use of the Trinidadian dialect. It means to speak candidly and continuously about something with enthusiasm, a rant or non apologetic analysis.
At Screen blaggers, we are dedicated to uniting people through film and entertainment. We review trailers, films, table read shorts, post our own new content and even re- enacted scenes from your favorite films and tv series.
Our content, like our audience is diverse and we are ready to taken on any challenge.
Who makes up Screen blaggers?
Screen blaggers consists of a trio of Trinidadian siblings, each with a different take and views on most films. Our views, while enthused and critical, are barely aligned- come on, you’ve heard of sibling rivalry- thus promising a broad analysis and a range of enthused challenges.
Who are we?
Safiya- the eldest, voice of reason (so she thinks), grammatically meticulous, complacent with siblings, can talk out of any conversation, great with accents, never loses at Monopoly, visionary, makes awesome coffee, sweet until crossed…
Zahida- middle child (do I need to say more?). Loves to write, gets carried away, gets vex when siblings don’t listen (middle child syndrome), loves languages, laughs at own jokes, loves to experiment, cries easily in films….
Bashiruddin- baby and only boy, stubborn (with no apologies), bossy, will watch a favorite film Multiple times, quotes lines from movies, great with voices, talkative, very protective, believed he was Batman as a child (probably still does), uses film in teaching...
